What is an API?
An application programming interface (API) is the interface that a computer system, library or application provides in order to allow requests for service to be made of it by other computer programs, and/or to allow data to be exchanged between them.
Why an API?
An API makes it possible for Registrars to register and manage .co.no domains in the CO.NO nic system directly from their own registrar system.
What are the advantages?
Thanks to the API, registrars are able to let customers register .co.no domains at their website instantly and realtime at the nic via their own registrar system without any required manual action from them or the operator.
