Amsterdam, February 15th, 2011 – Following a successful Sunrise period, CoDNS is glad to announce the opening of the Go Live period, starting in 7 days, February the 22nd at exactly 2:00 pm GMT. Application requests can be made by the general public without any restriction or priority rights, and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. As usual with .CO.NO extensions, a local presence in Norway is not required.
CoDNS has engendered great interest from brand owners, companies and individuals. Sander Scholten, Manager of CoDNS, comments, “We are delighted by the results we have achieved and people’s engaged response towards this new international extension. The .CO.NO is already seen as a successful alternative way to enter the Norwegian market and position a brand or a company as part of the international community. The Go Live period is an opportunity for anyone to do exactly that”.
The generic names and brands registered during the first phases are already active in the namespace, gathering a lot of international traffic and page views from Internet users. “The suffix “.CO.” is used and understood in many addresses worldwide, which makes registering a name ending in .CO.NO the right choice.” Scholten adds.” Take advantage of the Go live period to get yours!”
Anyone willing to take part in the .CO.NO Go Live can choose between 70+ of the leading Registrars worldwide, whose list can be accessed here: http://domain.co.no/gb/accredited-registrars.html
